Renomikka evening gowns are offered in letter sizes ranging from XS to 3XL. Because each gown is designed with its own silhouette and construction, the most reliable way to find your fit is to compare your body measurements against the size chart on the specific product page you are considering.
Measurements That Matter for Evening Gowns
The size charts on our product pages typically list four key dimensions: bust, waist, hips, and dress length. Understanding what each one refers to will help you make a confident choice.
Bust
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape level and parallel to the floor. Stand naturally without pulling the tape tight or letting it sag.
Waist
Find the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel. Wrap the tape around this point while breathing normally. Do not suck in or hold your breath.
Hips
Measure around the widest part of your hips and upper buttocks, about 7–9 inches below your natural waist. Keep the tape flat against your body without digging in.
Dress Length
This measurement on the product page refers to the finished garment length, from the top of the bodice to the hem. To gauge how a gown will fall on you, measure from your shoulder (or the neckline style indicated) down to the floor while wearing the shoes you plan to pair with the dress.
Body Measurements vs. Garment Measurements
It is important to distinguish between your body measurements and the finished garment dimensions listed on a product page. Your body measurements describe you. The garment measurements describe the space the dress provides. A gown's bust, waist, or hip measurement may be slightly larger than your own body number to allow for comfortable movement and the intended drape of the fabric.
Some Renomikka product pages also note a measurement tolerance of approximately 0.4–1.2 inches due to manual production. This is normal for embellished and structured formalwear and does not indicate a defect.
How to Choose Your Size
Start by taking your bust, waist, and hip measurements as described above. Then open the size chart on the specific gown page and compare each of your numbers to the corresponding garment measurement for each size.
- Match your largest measurement (usually bust or hips) to the size that accommodates it comfortably.
- Consider how the dress is constructed. A fitted bodice with a flared skirt, for example, may prioritize bust and waist fit differently than a column silhouette that skims the hips.
- Think about your personal preference. Some customers prefer a close, body-skimming fit; others want a little ease across the ribs or hips.
If your measurements fall between two sizes, check the product description for fit notes specific to that gown. Several Renomikka styles recommend sizing up for added comfort across the bust or hips, but this guidance is written per product and may not apply to every dress in the collection.
What to Do If You Are Unsure
If you are still uncertain after comparing your measurements to a product's size chart, reach out before ordering. Email us at vandiestrheaume18@outlook.com with the following details so we can give you targeted guidance:
- The name or link of the gown you are considering
- The two sizes you are comparing
- Your bust, waist, and hip measurements
- How you would like the dress to feel (close-fitting, slightly relaxed, etc.)
- Any part of the product page size chart that is unclear to you
Please do not send photographs of your body or personal identification documents by email. A written description of your measurements and fit preference is sufficient for us to help you narrow down the best option.
